Now, more than ever, design has definitely pervaded modern life. We see it everywhere from billboards, television shows, the internet, the customized boxes we put our Christmas gifts in, and even in the way we decorate our homes. That’s why we’re very proud to see designers from the Philippines who make a mark in the industry of design, both here and abroad.

Take Creative Philippines’ participation in Design Korea 2010, for example.  Hailing from the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, the group will join designers from other nations in showcasing the latest design trends through a trade exhibition, international conference, and several networking events patronized by design-related companies, studios and professionals from all over the world.

The Philippine Pavilion’s central display will feature 2010 Katha Winners: Kalikasan Crafts (houseware and home decor), Philippine Finecrafts Export (gifts and premium items) and S.C. Vizcarra (luxury bags). A collection of images highlighting Filipino ingenuity in the different aspects of design will also be available for viewing.

With the theme “Convergence through Design”, the six-day festival starts tomorrow and will last until the 12th of December in Seoul, Korea.
